The Legend of Zelda Map - Free 3D Print Model - MakerWorld

https://makerworld.com/en/models/539128-the-legend-of-zelda-map#profileId-456377
A 3D map of The Legend of Zelda. I still remember unfolding this map in the first Nintendo Power and being amazed. I tried to capture as much detail as I could while designing this for a 0.4mm nozzle to keep the print time down. The 1 AMS version proved pretty challenging, but I wanted to be able to share this with as many of you as I could. The overall size without the frame comes out to about 420mm x 140mm.

Making The Zelda G&W Into A MODERN Emulation Powerhouse Because Nintendon’t | Zelda 40th Anniversary - YouTube

Zelda turns 40 years old, so for its big anniversary we turned the tiny Zelda Game & Watch into a pocket-sized emulation powerhouse. In this video, I upgrade the Zelda Game & Watch with expanded memory, custom firmware, and a microSD card slot for unlimited storage, unlocking support for tons of classic retro consoles, save states, and a fully customizable UI. All on real Nintendo hardware! It’s open-source, community-driven and absolutely insane.

Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures

Released in 2004 for the Nintendo GameCube, Zelda: FSA made use of the wack-ass peripheral known as the GCN-GBA link cable. By hooking these cables up to your Game Boy Advances, you and three friends could play through a cooperative adventure through a land of shittily scaled sprites and bizarre graphical effects known as Hyrule. At the end of each level, everyone gets judged by the game and their heroic cohorts and through a variety of criteria (mainly money), there's a winner for each level. Cooperate and compete. Nintendo's done that a couple of times now.

Movement Mechanics in “The Legend of Zelda” « Troy Gilbert

"While Link can move a single pixel at a time, in any direction, the longer he continously moves in any direction the more he gravitates toward aligning himself with the underlying grid of the screen. The tile grid for LoZ is 16 tiles wide by 14 tiles high (including 3 tiles for the status display at the top of the screen). Each tile is 16×16 pixels. Link operates on a half-tile grid, though (32×28 tiles, 8×8 pixels each). As Link moves, if he’s not currently aligned with the half-tile grid, he is adjusted, one pixel at a time, toward the closest correction. As a result, if Link is 4 pixels off alignment he’ll line back up with the grid after moving 4 pixels."

"I have a lot of unrealistic dreams, and one of those dreams is to somehow arrange for the Legend of Zelda "opening a treasure chest" tune to play every time I open something. That melody should accompany every opening that reveals something amazing, from unpacking an order from Amazon.com to unhooking a girlfriend's bra. Holding up the revealed item for all to see is optional."

"It's based on this Wind Waker promotional desktop wallpaper with some modifications for material and sanity (Link's shield is obviously more detailed in the drawn version.)"
