Here is a collection of more than 700 88x31 web buttons from the 1990's and 2000's, including the famous "Netscape NOW" and "Internet Explorer" buttons as well as various other buttons for websites of past and present. All were rescued from a now defunct http://harrypagerubbish.webs.com/buttons just before it disappeared without warning. These buttons are an historic example of advertising in the earlier days of the World Wide Web. Enjoy these buttons and use them to your liking.

Are you writing a publication where you want to use the Lena picture, but don’t want to support its troubled origin? I offer to you my recreation of the Lena/Lenna picture, which you can use to your hearts content.

It started on Wednesday with a simple thread prompt from redditor DorikoBac: “Can we do the thing people do when fictional history is made and pretend that the games from UFO 50 were our childhood games?” DorikoBac, too young to have owned an LX in the ’80s, imagined discovering UFO Soft via emulators in the mid-2010s.

As AI automates programming, it could be worth exploring the value of bespoke code

Today, 20th September 2024, is the 40th anniversary of the day the world first experienced Elite, the 3D space trading and combat game written by Ian Bell and David Braben, first on the BBC Microcomputer in conjunction with Acornsoft. To commemorate this, I have added further sources (Apple, Atari, C64, NES, SNES (unfinished) "Elite"; and BBC "Elite II" (unfinished)) to the Elite Archive.

The reason we don’t see exploding battery attacks more often is not because it’s technically hard, it’s because the erosion of public trust in everyday things isn’t worth it. The current discourse around the potential reach of such explosive devices is clouded by the assumption that it’s technically difficult to implement and thus unlikely to find its way to our front door. That assumption is wrong. It is both surprisingly easy to do, and could be nearly impossible to detect. After I read about the attack, it took half an hour to combine fairly common supply chain knowledge with Wikipedia queries to propose the mechanism detailed below.

It began centuries ago. Due to our physiology and the fact that our world contains a single continent, we never gave priority to developing long range communications. Our mind was one and we knew what all saw and felt. But as we developed and the laws of nature made themselves known to us, we stumbled unto radio signals.

But... FrontPage as a concept. As a dream of what could have been, and a window into what was. Letting the typical home user at the time create websites, express creativity, and conquer the world by storm, all without being forced to learn HTML or CSS or JavaScript... In that regard, FrontPage couldn't be beat.

The Design Building on the well received impossible passthrough illusion. This is Version 2 It fixes the problems present in the first Design.  No more messy overhang, a good slide straight after printing, and much better bed adhesion.  This is a fun piece and can be used as a fidget toy as well Dimensions are approximately: diameter 46mm x 50mm Let me know if you experience any issues. If you enjoy this print consider giving it a boost (It'd really help me out!) Printing The Print Profile should be used if possible. The hour glass object should have auto tree supports enabled to 30 degrees, and a layer height of 0.16mm, the barrel shape should have no supports and a layer height of 0.2mm  It is set up to print by object (1 part then the next)   My WorkAfter many years in Engineering, I've just decided to try and follow my childhood dream of becoming of a Creative Designer.A Creative Designer of what? No idea! Right now I really like puzzles, mechanisms and kinetic sculptures so that's where I'm going to focus my efforts. Boosts really help me out To support me even more (not ever required), for information around development of my models (background to come) and for commercial use, i've started a patreon here:https://www.patreon.com/RJ_Design

Highlight:In our current digital landscape, where a corporate algorithm tells us what to read, watch, drink, eat, wear, smell like, and sound like, human curation of the web is an act of revolution. A simple list of hyperlinks published under a personal domain name is subversive. Curation is punk. Lets break away from the protective layer that is our For You Pages.
