"Anyway, when it comes to Twisted vs. Tornado for a Python web framework, I use Django. Why? Because it works, and my time is valuable."

"Maybe it's better to host your own. That's the thinking coming from a growing number of early technology adopters as service after service goes down, sells out or otherwise frustrates the users who have published their content online only to see the tools they use become broken or less desirable. "

"The Instant Outline Tool for the OPML Editor allows a group of people to communicate using an outline to reflect each person's status. You have two windows -- one where you edit your outline, and the other where you view the outlines of all your buddies, the members of your workgroup."

"A room for testing the first Instant Outliner release."

"Popular online activity-monitoring service FriendFeed just announced IM integration and the way they implemented it is really smart. I'm now getting an IM every time someone comments on one of my items in FriendFeed, and I can reply with a comment on that very same item from inside my IM client. It's a great way to keep on top of conversations and keep them flowing. "

I guess this explains why I don't see Last.fm events on FriendFeed. Funny how it happened almost a year ago: "A number of FriendFeeders complained that Last.fm was showing up too often in their feeds because we tracked every song you listened to. We updated our service so that we will only publish the songs you explicitly marked as "loved" in Last.fm. We hope this will make the Last.fm entries more useful and a bit less frequent."

"It's all part of one cosmos (not a mere sphere), and there will come a day (I hope) when it all is unified, otherwise we're forever going to be chasing our news from place to place as it gets replicated in ever more awkward ways."

"Determine a basic need -> Create a service that satisfies it in the simplest way possible -> Open it up. "

"The FriendFeed Activity Widget is a simple WordPress widget plugin that pulls your FriendFeed stream, pretties it up a bit and shares it with visitors to your blog."

"We're extremely happy to announce that FriendFeed is officially launching! Now anyone can sign up for an account."
